Day 10: Mindful Shower.
Welcome to day 10 of this mindfulness Advent calendar. You can do today’s exercise without using any extra time just during your daily shower. Start a journey through presence as soon as you’re standing in the shower. How does the tub feel beneath your feet? Which water temperature do you like most? Can you hear any sounds? How are you feeling? How does the water feel that runs down your whole body? How does your soap or shampoo smell? You may want to close your eyes for a small bit, take a couple of deep breaths and let the feeling of gratitude arise for that luxury of hot water. Stay mindfully with the experience of your shower today.
How are you feeling now? Our daily lives are full of small things that make us feel good. Through experiencing them with mindfulness and presence we can make sure that our hearts and souls get nourished until they’re full.
