Advent season is supposed to prepare us for Christmas and bring calm, light, and joy to the dark winter days. However, December is one of the busiest months for most people around the globe – all accumulated tasks that need to be done until the end of the year, the search for gifts and the many appointments make it almost impossible to rest. That’s why Heartbridges Writings has created this mindfulness Advent calendar. You will find a daily post with a picture and a suggestion for a small exercise, that should grant you a moment of calm even on the most stressful day.
The Advent season finds its origin in Christianity. For me though, Christmas is rather about gratitude, love and tolerance than religion. This calendar thus simply wants to bring some warmth to a cold time. The 24 posts are therefore aimed at everyone, also people who don’t celebrate Christmas – after all, inner peace is a universal birthright.
